About

About Kev & Rosey essential jewelry:

Kev & Rosey essential jewelry began in the summer of 2008 as a collection of necklaces, hand-made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by founder and designer, Sarah Rosen Shah. These necklaces come in a few lengths and each one can be adjusted to create different looks. They can be worn individually, and they can also be layered together to create even more options.

Kev & Rosey necklaces are for the fashion conscious (or maybe not-so-fashion conscious), hard-working woman who does not need to waste her extra time coordinating her jewelry with her outfit. Kev & Rosey jewelry is her go-to choice because she knows she can make it work with virtually any neckline. It is essential because she can't live without it.

About the Designer:

Sarah Rosen Shah ("Rosey") was born in Atlanta and has lived in Chapel Hill, NC, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA, and is currently in NYC where she is a full-time MBA student at the NYU Stern School of Business. She earned a degree in Latin American Marketing and Advertising from American University where she was also a varsity soccer player (sadly, she was not allowed to wear jewelry during competition). Rosey has enjoyed a career in sales and marketing and has worked for Glacéau (makers of Vitaminwater), RTC Relationship Marketing (a WPP company), and Duke University.

Rosey grew up making friendship bracelets and hemp necklaces and then moved to beaded necklaces made by using glass and crystal. In high-school, she worked with metal and semi-precious stones to create pieces which won awards and were displayed at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA. She has since continued to work with semi-precious stones and crystal to design earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

As much as she enjoys crafting jewelry, she also enjoys wearing it. After years of futile searching for inspiring pieces to compliment her style, she decided to create Kev & Rosey essential jewelry. Rosey now has decided to focus her efforts on designing chain and semi-precious stones to construct a line that eliminates the need to own any other necklace, making it essential. It is a miracle that we ever survived without Kev & Rosey. Luckily, we no longer have to.
